Zucchini Zucchini

A few weeks ago, one of the girls from work offered me a zucchini from her garden. That sounded amazing of course but I was completely stunned with what I got! Check this out:

It's a 15 inch zucchini!!! It was monstrous!!! I have never seen anything like it (I live in London, homegrown? Whats that? LOL) So needless to say, we ate zucchini for the entire weekend hihi. I went on allrecipes.com and found some amazing recipes. The funny thing was that I actually ran out of zucchini before I finished the recipes! Here is what I cooked (of course I tweaked them a bit to make up for the oversized zucchini). Just click on the link below the picture to get to the recipe.

The bf had to go out especially to buy some sherry for this but it was sooo good! I used German 'Fleischwurst' instead of Italian sausage as I have really no idea where to find that in Tesco... But nevertheless it was sooo yummy!

I ended up freezing these as I made it a starter for the below recipe but it ended up being way too much! Very good also though :)

I made so much! Yes it looks a little burnt but it was really alright.

Check out how good it looks with the steamed basmati rice :)

I think I got a whole lot out that zucchini! (I also noticed I love the word zucchini way too much haha) After I made the flower for her wedding dress, she promised me another one so hopefully I will be able to use the rest of my gathered recipes then.

On a different note, as the steampunk dress is now done, the box for the gift exchange is now done (I made something that I so wanted to keep which is why I havent sent it off today but I will definitely do it tomorrow), I can focus on making Halloween things :) Tomorrow I am going charity shop shopping (my local shop is having their £1 week!), I'll attend the Craft Mashup and enjoy the weekend. Ah. how I love the weekend... Oh yes, once I've gathered all the professional pics I will post some of those as well.

So I hope you will join me in the Zucchini Craze, let me know what you think if you try any of the above recipes!

  1. Wow! That looks good. I'm usually sick of zucchini by the time summer's over because we grow way more than we need. I could be convinced to have even more, though, if the dish looked as delicious as those you made. Yum!
