Halloweening - Cute Felties

Hello again everyone!
I had a lovely weekend :) The bf was away for a day and a bit and I got to laze around the house eating popcorn (which he hates me eating hihi). I hardly did any crafting but was still in the Halloween mood so I browsed around and found these pinned on my Pinterest board to make sometime:

Yes, this is the lovely tutorial from Paper and String, arent they the cutest!!

Now I have to warn you, my pics arent nearly this good, but I was just too lazy to use the mini studio we have to take decent pics, especially as I made these at 3am, courtesy of Starbucks' wonderful Toffee Nut Latte which I had way too late in the day.

These are the ones I made :) I used 'gold' felt for the pumpkin as the orange I had was much to neon. I also used purple for the bat as I just didnt have grey and after all, purple is my favourite colour ;) The ribbons I used are from mt favourite ribbon shop whose name I have just blanked out on, but if you read some older posts you will find it. The brads I bought a while ago in Hobbycraft after reading many lovely posts on Paper and String. I love them! I got rid of my old (disgracefully dishevveled) teddy on my keyring and replaced it with these cuties :)

I liked the bats so much that I made some more and added them to these ueberlarge hair clips. I havent tried them yet but that's what Fridays at work is for ;)

So I relaxed a lot, crafted a little, and had a lovely relaaaxing weekend. Hope you all had the same and managed to get through Monday alright!

    Halloween creation you did, which is really marvelous. I also using same these theme for Halloween creation in any functions. That last photographs is best for unique idea.

Fabulising February - Men's Shirt Dress

Hi everyone! Fabulising February is nearly over and this is the last project I have managed to complete.Tomorrow I'll post a short recap showing all the finished projects. Wanting to go out with a bang, I tackled a men's shirt that the bf bought online many years ago and forgot to return it so I wanted to make something nice out of it. Seems a waste to be throwing away a brand new shirt! Granted, it was white and while probably cotton it was very thick and stiff material. So I dyed it purple. Of course. Once it was purple, I then had to try and do something with it. Easier said than done! I finally found a cute idea for a dress in blogland (didn't save the link though) and I really wanted to try that. But the instructions were super tricky so in the mending pile it went. This is the shirt. Much too large even for the bf but purple at least ;) And a bit wrinkled for being in the bag for a very long time. But with only a little time left in my Fabulising February

My Neighbor Totoro Project #2: Catbus

Hello again! So last time I showed you how I made Totoro. I ended up making yet another doll / pillow from the same movie for the same friend! I think this was a present for a combination of life events, and I knew she would love this. This time, I made Catbus! (if you don't know what Catbus looks like, please Google it as there are so many references out there! Or better yet: watch the movie, you will love it!) Again, I went shopping for fabric... at least this time I knew what I needed, the wool was just perfect, I just had to find the right colours. Catbus has various shades of brown and a bright yellow. The brown was easy but I couldn't find yellow anywhere... In the end I opted for yellow felt which worked as well. Not the tiny squares of craft felt, no the proper felt on a roll. It seemed stronger, and the colour was perfect. Sadly this time there was no tutorial, but I did find a pillow on ebay that served as inspiration for this project. Ok, I mostly copied it... M
