Recipe - Moist Banana Chocolate Marble Gugelhupf

LOL I just noticed that whenever I post a recipe for a Gugelhupf, I add 'moist' to the title hihi... but they're all so good! I love finding recipes online! I found this recipe here. It's in German and I tweaked it a tad so my version is below:

You will need:
  • 200 gr butter
  • 180 gr sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 300 gr all purpose flour
  • 2 bananas
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • icing sugar for dusting
Instructions:
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180C and butter your baking tin.
  2. Mix butter, sugar, and vanilla until creamy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time and mix until the sugar has been dissolved.
  4. Add flour and baking powder to the butter mixture and mix.
  5. Chop bananas and add to the mixture.
  6. Mix until well-combined (if you like banana chunks, dont mix but just stir these under).
  7. Pour half the mixture into the tin.
  8. Add the cocoa powder to the remaining dough and mix well.
  9. Pour the chocolate mixture on top of the banana mixture into the tin.
  10. Use a spoon or a fork to marble the dough.
  11. Bake cake for 50-60 mins.
  12. Let the cake cool down, remove from tin, and dust with icing sugar.
  13. Enjoy :)
Check out my cake, doesnt it look yummy?!

LOL they all look the same right? I only have one bundt cake tin! ;)

Peekaboo! Looking good so far...

I have to admit that one of these slices is eyeing me now and wants eaten. I already had a sneak tasting and it is so good! I want more... ;) If you make this, let me know what you thought also, it is divine!

You must be wondering about any craftiness on my part lately. I am doing multiple projects at once and since a lot of them are presents I cant blog about them until I have actually given them to the people they are for and of course also have taken pictures. So there will be more craftiness, but in the meantime let me just share some recipes with you. Now that I have a new stove I have to use it right? ;)
